Evocative of Alice in Wonderland, this composition of asymmetrical hoops brings together elements new and old.
The first ring starts with a plastic button from the 60s that I found at a garage sale in Valparaíso a couple of years ago. We set it in silver. From this hangs a recent piece cast in silver with 3 flowers and from it, the fragment of a rabbit that belonged to some broken toy that I bought at the El Belloto Flea Fair. The piece ends in a fuchsia chalcedony set in a gold bath.
The second ring begins with a circular landscape made of curahuilla twigs with celery seeds, hand-painted resin, 22k gold leaf and silver trim. From this hangs a cold porcelain flower that was a brooch donated by a client, which we set in silver. It ends with a silver watch chiche that I bought in the San Telmo Market, Buenos Aires.
Our Assemblages Collection is a limited edition of mostly unique pieces. They are compositions made from forgotten fragments of various Casa Kiro collections that I found stored in the endless deep order of quarantine, some new pieces made in our workshop, a few purchased and some old ones, such as broken jewelry, rubber earrings, cut chains, that have been donated by friends and clients or bought at fairs, to give them a second and beautiful life,
Each composition has been specially designed and assembled by me to use these recovered treasure-cachureos.
